Halla ist Chorleiterin, eine unabhängige und warmherzige, eher in sich gekehrte Frau. Doch dann bringt die Bewilligung eines fast schon in Vergessenheit geratenen Adoptionsantrags Hallas gradlinige Pläne aus dem Takt. Entschlossen plant sie ihre letzte und kühnste Aktion als Retterin des isländischen Hochlands.
